How the ENS Registrations screensaver works

The saver watches the Ethereum Name Service registrar contract for real registration events, via a public RPC endpoint.

Each new .eth name scrolls onto the feed as it's registered on-chain.

A running count tracks how many real registrations have appeared since you started watching.

The feed polls recent blocks on a schedule to stay current.

A worked example

Watch for a moment and real names scroll past — someone, somewhere, just claimed that .eth name on-chain, permanently and publicly.
