Most of these boards read the World Health Organization's own published country statistics — the same reference data epidemiologists and health ministries use — and rank every reporting country by a single real indicator, easing the bars into place as fresh figures arrive. A few instead stream individual real records as they're reported: FDA adverse-event and recall filings, and new articles landing in PubMed. Nothing here is medical advice; it's a live window onto public data.

Frequently asked questions

Where does this health data come from?
Mainly the WHO Global Health Observatory's key-less public API, plus the FDA's openFDA API and the National Library of Medicine's PubMed — the same open datasets researchers and journalists use.
Is this medical advice?
No. These are population-level statistics and public safety-report feeds for ambient viewing, not a diagnostic or clinical tool.
How often does the data update?
Country health-indicator boards refresh as WHO republishes its underlying datasets (typically annually per indicator); FDA and PubMed feeds poll for new individual reports every few minutes.
Does this need an internet connection?
Yes — every saver here reads a live feed. Offline, it shows a short notice instead of data.
