Mirror Mode
Mirror Mode arranges screensavers into the six zones of a smart mirror — two top corners, a large centre, two bottom corners and a full-width bottom strip. Pick any screensaver for each zone, and the mirror theme renders them all in black and white so the whole screen reads as one display. Your layout saves to the page URL. Press ESC to exit.
A smart mirror puts a few glanceable things in the corners of an otherwise black screen — the time in one corner, the weather in another, a headline strip along the bottom — so it reads as information floating on glass. Mirror Mode does the same with Afterglow's own screensavers: choose one for each of the six zones, leave any zone empty to keep it dark, and run the whole thing fullscreen.
With Mirror theme on, every zone is forced to a black background with white highlights so six independent screensavers look like a single coherent mirror. Switch it off and each keeps its own colours, which suits a control-room wall more than a hallway mirror. Your zone choices and the theme setting are stored in this page's address, so you can bookmark the layout and it returns exactly as you left it. Press ESC to leave fullscreen.
The layout convention and the stark black-and-white look come from MagicMirror², the open-source smart-mirror project (MIT licensed). Mirror Mode is an independent implementation of that idea using Afterglow's own screensavers — no MagicMirror code is used.
