TradingView Chart Screensaver
The TradingView Chart screensaver embeds TradingView's free Advanced Chart widget — a live, interactive candlestick chart for any stock, index, crypto or FX symbol. There's no API key, it runs in your browser, and ESC exits.
How the TradingView Chart screensaver works
The saver loads TradingView's official, free Advanced Chart widget and points it at the symbol you choose.
It's a real interactive chart — candles, timeframes, indicators and the symbol search all work, just like on TradingView.
Pick the symbol and interval from the settings; you can also change the symbol right inside the chart.
It needs an internet connection, since the chart streams from TradingView; there's no API key to set up.
A worked example
Set it to NASDAQ:NVDA on the daily and you get NVIDIA's live candles filling the screen. In Multi-view you can run eight at once — AAPL, MSFT, the S&P 500, Bitcoin, Gold and more — each cell on its own symbol, like a trading wall.
Settings & tips
- Symbol picks the market — stocks, indices, crypto, FX, even TSX-listed names.
- Interval sets the timeframe, from one minute to weekly.
- Minimal hides the toolbars for a cleaner look in small Multi-view cells.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this really TradingView?
- Yes. It embeds TradingView's official, free Advanced Chart widget, so it's the real interactive chart, not a copy.
- Does it need an API key?
- No. The public TradingView widget is free and key-less. The saver only needs an internet connection.
- Can I change the symbol?
- Yes. Pick one in the settings, or use the chart's own symbol search. In Multi-view each cell can show a different symbol.
- Does it work offline?
- No. The chart streams live from TradingView, so it needs an internet connection; offline it shows a short notice.
- Is it free?
- Yes — free, no download, in your browser. It loads TradingView's third-party widget to draw the chart.
